TRANSITION PROJECTS WITH THE EVEREST READING CHALLENGE

Matt's best selling book 'The Everest Files' is the basis for this exciting summer challenge that will give your incoming year 7 pupils the perfect start to their school career.

The project features fun Poster Challenges, downloadable video clips from Matt's Everest expeditions and  curriculum connections into the worlds of Geography, history and human science.

This literacy project is the perfect opportunity to engage 'reluctant readers' through the summer months. 

'Taking part in Matt Dickinson's reading challenge was the highlight of the academic year for us and our students. We ran the challenge with 200 transition students

of which 78% successfully completed the book and activities. The challenge raised awareness of the need to continue reading for pleasure over the summer
